J M Lofley’s (Tāngata Tiriti, Celtic, Viking) Ocean oracles and odysseys is an exploration of narratives and journeys spanning the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean. Rimurapa (bull kelp) and rimu kakauroa (giant kelp) position themselves as message and medium, telling stories of possibility and opportunity.

What if our coastlines could thrive again—with lush kelp forests, vibrant communities, and oceans that give back more than they take?
Join seaweed experts Prof. Chris Hepburn (University of Otago) and Dr Daniel Pritchard (TMK Research) for a fascinating dive into how regenerative aquaculture and local innovation are restoring our coasts—and our futures.

Discover how science, sustainability, and community are coming together to reimagine the relationship between nature and economy. Let’s explore what lies beneath—and what’s possible ahead.
